Burgmann Insurance Group was founded by Jon Burgmann, an experienced insurance professional who built his business on integrity, compassion, and community values.
After years in the industry, Jon realized that many people were being sold products they didn’t fully understand. He set out to change that — creating a company that focuses on education first, not sales.
Today, Jon and his team proudly serve clients across Illinois and multiple other states, providing personalized guidance and dependable protection for every stage of life.
Jon is a licensed insurance agent with a passion for helping people protect their families and their futures. With years of experience in Medicare and Life Insurance planning, Jon focuses on building lasting relationships based on trust, respect, and care.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and their two sons, Sam and Jacob. He’s an active member of his local community and believes in balancing hard work with family life — and a little fun with his corgi and cats at home.
Twice in the 90s, I almost became an insurance agent, but it didn’t feel right. Instead, I had a great marketing career working for two national franchise businesses until late 2017. I spent a few years as a marketing consultant until the COVID-19 pandemic crushed that. Then, I decided to join my brother in his insurance business. Now, I work with clients in line with my convictions and feel great about helping people understand the complexities of Medicare and Marketplace insurance. I look forward to helping you.
I have been happily married to my lovely wife Betty since 1990. We have two offspring who are now off on their own adventures. Melody is a music teacher in Belleville, and Josh is a production manager for one of the largest lighting and sound companies in Chicago.
In my spare time, I enjoy painting and leather work, and with Betty, we enjoy photography. Being empty nesters allows us to spread our wings and have a lot of fun.
Ken lives in O’fallon with his wife Jennifer (married in 1994) and their Havanese dog, Dexter (born 09/18/22). A former professional bowler, Ken has a high finish of 4th in a PBA event in 1989, thirteen 300 games and a high three game series of 847. He was elected to the Greater Carlyle Hall of Fame in 2015. Having been licensed to help people with insurance since 2004, he joined the Burgmann Insurance Group in 2024. Most of his professional background was in Life Insurance until 2016 when he began his Medicare studies. Ken’s job is to explain the four parts of Medicare in such a way that what was once confusing to people, will be come much more clear, enabling them to make informed decisions on the healthcare path they choose.
